TUBIES Surf Competition – Terms & Conditions
Organiser: This competition is organised by Surfers for Climate Ltd ("Organiser"), located at 14A Banksia Drive, Byron Bay NSW 2481. Surfers for Climate holds a current authority to fundraise under the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991 (NSW) (Authority Number: CFN/26936) issued by NSW Fair Trading.
How to Enter: Teams of four (4) must purchase TUBIES 'Surfer' tickets for the competition through the website: https://tubies.org.au/products/trade-up-building-innovation-expo-for-sustainability. Participants who are unable to form a complete team of four (4) will be assigned to a team by Surfers for Climate.
Prize: The winning team of four (4) members will receive a boat trip to the Maldives, hosted by World Surfaris as detailed in the competition promotional materials. The prize is strictly non-transferable, subject to availability, and cannot be redeemed for cash or exchanged. Winners are responsible for flights to/from the Maldives, personal expenses during the trip, applicable taxes, and any other incidental costs related to prize use unless otherwise stated.
Winner Selection: Winners will be determined based on the competition’s judging criteria as set by Surfers for Climate and announced promptly after the competition ends on or about 25 October, 2025. The Organiser reserves the right to verify all entries and disqualify participants who do not meet eligibility criteria or who violate competition rules.
Winner Notification and Prize Claim: The winning team will be notified by email within 72 hours of the competition’s conclusion. Winners must respond to the notification within fourteen (14) days to accept the prize. Failure to respond within the specified timeframe may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winning team.
Taxes and Fees: The winning team members are responsible for any taxes, fees, or other costs related to acceptance or use of the prize.
Liability: The Organiser and any affiliated partners are not liable for any injuries, damages, losses, or expenses arising from participation in the competition or use of the prize. Participants agree to release and hold harmless the Organiser from any claims connected to this competition.
General Conditions: The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the competition in the event of fraud, technical failure, or any circumstance beyond their reasonable control. If you need the terms further customised or simplified, feel free to ask!
