TUBIES is an evolution of Surfers for Climate’s Trade Up Program, which was created to help tradies integrate sustainability into their work and lifestyle.
The Trade Up Program started as an education and networking initiative, connecting tradies with practical tools, training, and suppliers to help them adopt greener building practices. The program’s reach grew, leading to The Trade Up Cup in 2024—a unique mix of sustainability-focused trade education and surf competition.
Building on that success, TUBIES now represents the next stage in this movement, expanding into regional outreach, industry collaboration, and real-world case studies.
